Sean is a 25+ year game industry veteran, serving in a wide range of creative and leadership roles at Activision, Eidos, Square Enix, Microsoft and more. His passion for community-driven development began during the creation of the award-winning game Never Alone. The game was co-created with members of the Iñupiat community of Alaska to share and celebrate their cultural and storytelling traditions. Sean and his team developed a process of inclusive development – continuously engaging community members and players to ensure the highest authenticity and engagement. Putting the audience first was key to Never Alone’s success and continues to drive Live Aware’s mission today.

Nathan’s career as an educator, instructional designer, writer and lifelong gamer converged when he started using video games and UGC platforms to supercharge his students’ STEM learning. Nathan’s work caught Sean’s attention and the two began shaping a vision for a new kind of platform to enable game developers to craft the best games through a deeper level of collaboration with players. Nathan’s unique experience and interests, passion for gaming, and his outsider perspective on the industry all contribute to his success in helping solve for a large gap in our industry.
