February Improvements Update

Travis Brown

Director of Developer Relations

It’s a leap year, so we have a whole extra day in February to bring you even more improvements to Live Aware! Here’s a quick roundup of the updates we’re dropping today.

In case you missed it, earlier this month we announced and launched our new Insights Dashboard feature. As a follow-up to that release, Insights for a single Video will now be named a Summary, and will appear in the Media Info Bar along with Annotations and Transcripts. The Insights Dashboard shows detailed feedback and findings from all players for an entire event. The Summary page summarizes topics discussed in an individual video, and clarifies the difference between these two features. The best part is that Summary generation has been improved to create even higher quality summaries, helping you quickly get the high-level takeaways from each video you summarize.

You’ll also now have the option to choose if videos play automatically when opening an Event. You can find this option under the My account section of Settings, in a new section titled Preferences.

Last, but not least, we made some tweaks improving the appearance and usability of the Media Info Bar located above the selected video. We have removed the text from the buttons for Camera & Microphone (if available), Summary, Annotations, and Transcript.

As always, we’re happy to hear your feedback on these changes, and would love for you to connect with us and join the discussion on our Discord!
