Starting today, we are rolling out a whole new way to stream! With the latest version of the Desktop Recorder, your microphone and camera will be automatically streamed separately to Live Aware.
Starting today, we are rolling out a whole new way to stream! With the latest version of the Desktop Recorder, your microphone and camera will be automatically streamed separately to Live Aware.
Starting today, we are rolling out a whole new way to stream! With the latest version of the Desktop Recorder, your microphone and camera will be automatically streamed separately to Live Aware.
This change offers a few great benefits. First, the viewing experience of streams has been improved, allowing viewers to separately view and toggle the camera feed and adjust the volume balance between the microphone and game audio.
Additionally, isolating the microphone audio improves the accuracy and quality of generated transcripts. You’ll now see under the Transcripts section, a drop-down that allows you to select the audio source of the transcription being viewed.
This new streaming mode is enabled automatically, so there’s nothing you need to do to start streaming your mic and camera separately!

Update 1/31/24: After getting feedback from our users, we recognize that while streaming mic and camera separately has benefits to the viewing and transcription experience, it can represent challenges to downstream flows like downloads and slices. We will be fast-tracking the ability to choose streaming mic and camera separately or combined.
